What’s the Working Principle of Vacuum Cleaner?

1  what is the structure of vacuum cleaner?

the main components of Vacuum cleaner are vacuum pump, dust collecting device, hose and nozzles of various shapes. It has an electric blower, which runs at high speed after power-on, so that inside of the vacuum cleaner forms an instantaneous vacuum, making the internal air pressure much lower than the outside. The air pressure, under the action of this air pressure difference, dust and dirt enter the vacuum cleaner barrel with the airflow, and then filter through the dust bag, the dust remains in the dust bag, and the purified air re-enters the room through the motor. It acts to cool the motor and purify the air.

2  How vacuum cleaners work?

1) First, the air in the dust chamber of the vacuum cleaner is evacuated by a motor that rotates at a high speed to form an instantaneous vacuum, thereby causing a pressure difference between the inside of the cleaner and the outside.

2) Dust is sucked into the dust chamber by the accessory device for vacuuming that is specially configured for the vacuum cleaner.

3) The inhaled dust is trapped in the dust collector in the dust chamber.

4) The air is sucked into the dust chamber along with the dust passes through the filter device in the dust chamber and becomes clean air and is discharged from the machine by the motor.

3  Vacuum cleaner inspection

(1) Inspection of the vacuum system:

vacuum test: including carpet dust test, hard ground vacuum test, hard ground vacuum test with holes and seams, and furniture dust collection test, etc., should meet the standard requirements

Exhaust air dust test: used to check the dust filter effect, and at the same time, it can be found that there is no air leakage inside the vacuum cleaner

The nozzle moves on the carpet. Resistance: Check the performance of the nozzle with a spring scale during work.

(2) Inspection of electrical part: 

Voltage fluctuation performance test: At rated frequency, when the voltage is different from the rated value by ±10%, the vacuum cleaner can still work normally; 

Switch operation life: Under the rated voltage, maximum load current and corresponding power factor, switch 20 times per minute, a total of 5000 times. Under the locked rotor current and power factor of the rated frequency of 120% of rated voltage, switch 4 times per minute, a total of 5 minutes of switching, the switch parts should not fail;

Noise test: It should be carried out in a semi-anechoic chamber. The average noise of the vacuum cleaner should not exceed 70dB.
